The system that turns cases into a pass letter.

Study the scored answer, drill it to reflex, say it out loud, track your readiness. Every one of 779 cases is scripted on the domains the examiner marks. Watch it work.

The mark scheme

The viva changed. This was built for it.

June 2025

The RCR reform lands: every case is now scored on five named domains, not just the diagnosis.

The year after

We script 779 cases around the new scoresheet, domain by domain. Nothing carried over from the old exam.

Today

You train on the exact five things the examiner marks.

That was metastatic cord compression, all five domains. 779 cases work exactly like this.

Don't take our word for anything.

Pick any card. The safety step carries its guideline number - metastatic cord compression, NICE NG234; tension pneumothorax, BTS Pleural 2023; testicular torsion, BAUS. Check it at the issuer; it takes thirty seconds.

Non-UK guidance (AHA, ESC, Tokyo) is always flagged - never passed off as UK.

Every guideline number is checked at the issuer before it goes on a card.

Built by a team of radiologists; the whole base passed a documented medical audit before launch. This is the difference between an answer you memorised and an answer you can defend when the examiner pushes back.

How we compare

Everyone trains the diagnosis.
We train the answer that scores.

Most prep stops where the marks begin. Here is the difference, point by point.

The usual prep
Question banks & viva courses
  • Trains the diagnosis, not the management.
  • A hot seat is 3-6 cases, twice a week, for around £100 a week.
  • “Refer to the MDT” - without understanding how the patient is actually treated.
  • The teaching stays in the Zoom call. You can take screenshots, but there is nothing to go back to, refresh or check.
  • Sources disagree. Pick one and hope.
Tungsten People
Built for the viva
The scored answer, every case
  • Builds the full answer the examiners actually score.
  • Rehearse out loud, 24/7 - not on someone else's Zoom schedule.
  • The exact team to call, what they need, and by when.
  • One repeatable structure that fits every case.
  • One defensible answer, traced to a named UK guideline.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks first.

Straight answers, no small print.

Is this built around the real 2B viva?

Yes. The June 2025 reform scores the viva on five things - knowledge, observation, clinical reasoning, safety and management, and communication - not just the diagnosis. Every case is scripted around those exact domains.

How is this different from a question bank?

Question banks drill recognition - naming the finding. The viva marks what you say next: the next step, safe management, and how you communicate it, out loud. We train that spoken answer, scored the way the RCR marks.

I trained outside the UK. Does this fit?

Yes. Management is marked against UK guidelines (NICE, RCR, NHS), and our cards encode that UK pathway - the one you are scored on. Most candidates now sit from outside the UK, so this is built for you.

How is the FRCR 2B viva scored?

Every case is scored on five things, not just the diagnosis: knowledge, observation, clinical reasoning, clinical safety and management, and communication. Cover all five and the examiner has nothing left to ask. We script every case around those exact domains. (per the RCR scoring system)

What is the FRCR 2B pass rate?

There is no fixed pass rate. The standard is set for each sitting, so the number moves between diets - which is why chasing a percentage is the wrong target. What you can control is walking in with a safe, defensible answer on every case. That is exactly what we rehearse.

Why do candidates fail the 2B viva?

Rarely for missing the finding. Marks are lost on what you say next - the next step, the management, the safety action, the communication. We train the spoken answer for all of it, scored the way the RCR marks. (per the RCR examiners' reports)

What do I get for free?

15 Neuro diagnoses, a 15-case spoken Viva demo, the readiness dashboard and your study plan. No card needed. Upgrade to Course when it is worth it.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes - cancel anytime. Course and Premium are billed monthly and renew automatically; cancel and you keep access to the end of the month you have paid for. See our refund policy for details.

Do I have to attend live sessions?

No. Everything is on demand - practise on your own schedule, in any timezone, as often as you need. Nothing to book, no waitlist.

Can I download the cards as a PDF?

No. The product is the connections: the linked mimics, the search, the mistakes deck, the plan to your date, the Arena. None of that survives a printout, and a printout freezes the day it is made. Guidelines don't.

How much of the spoken viva can I try for free?

A 15-case spoken demo, three attempts per case - free, no card. Premium unlocks the spoken viva on every case.

I'd feel awkward speaking to a computer.

Better here than there. The awkwardness is the training.
